Arnold Schwarzenegger's Guide to Sales Success
How not to "Terminate" a customer relationship

LOS ANGELES, California (Auto University) -- I caught up with Arnold Schwarzenegger while he was campaigning for Governor in California, and I asked him how he intended to win the election. He said, "It's all about being a good salesman."

As a representative of one of the greatest sales forces on the planet, I asked Mr. Schwarzenegger what his idea of a good salesman was, to which he replied: "A good salesman listens to his constituents (argh), I mean customers, and gives them exactly what they want. If you listen and deliver, then "they'll be back!" But if you don't give them what they ask for, it's "Hasta la vista baby!"

Arnold went on to explain that when a customer is about to leave your lot, you need to give them a reason to come back. Find out what their hot buttons are and give them something to think about. Then make sure you get yourself back in front of them right away so they don't forget you. Make a follow up call to address any new questions or concerns.

"You can't allow your customer to set up a debate with your rivals", said Mr. Schwarzenegger. "You had better equip yourself with the best sales weapons available, so when the competition comes up, you can just blow them away!"

Thanks Arnold!
