Are You Really Checking for Valuables?
A Permission-Based Inspection Nets Long Term Loyalty

With all the nooks and crannies available inside an automobile the likelihood that a customer will misplace something is very high. This could be something they need right away like a key or cell phone, or it could be a cherished piece of jewelry. That's why we recommend you inspect the vehicle for valuables in the service drive and before you vacuum.

Case study

Her husband gave her the ring for their 20th wedding anniversary. She wore it all the time then one day it went missing. You know how these things go; you take it off to put on some lotion, then the cell phone rings and the light changes at the same time. You set something down and simply forget that you did it and it ends up under the seat.

Several weeks later this sweet lady visited our service department for regular maintenance. The collecting of information inside the vehicle followed the greeting and it included an inspection for valuables. She had left her cell phone charging inside and said she didn?t need it. She asked the advisor to simply place the sunglasses he found in the glove box. So far, no sign of any ring.

After the service, our practice is to wash and vacuum every car unless requested not to by our guests. Prior to vacuuming, our detailers are instructed to inspect the nooks and crannies for things like loose change. During this inspection, our detailer noticed something unusual under the power seat electrical connector. It was the ring!

Needless to say there were hugs, tears and kisses that day. This lady became a huge fan of our service department and over the years she and her family have purchased four cars from us.  This type of service takes only a few minutes at the most, but the rewards endure sometime for a lifetime.
