Random Thoughts from a Mind of Mush
Is this the beginning of senility?

There are seasons in life when the creative juices sit idly by and taunt those of us who rely on new ideas to keep things fresh and interesting for our customers. They sit across the room laughing at me while I struggle for some new perspective on the car business or success in general.

Of course the challenge in producing something interesting flies in the face of Biblical wisdom which says, "There's nothing new under the sun", and yet I at least strive to pen the old wisdom in a way that stimulates or at least entertains. When I can't seem to come up with anything new or enticing, I either stop writing, or simply offer random thoughts or quotes. Today I choose the latter:

- Coach John Wooden said "Sports do not build character, they reveal it." I think every mental and physical challenge in the Auto Industry does exactly the same thing. So what character flaw has our business exposed in you lately?

- According to business philosopher Jim Rohn, personal development is the never-ending chance to improve not only you, but also to attract opportunities and affect others. So what have you done about your own development lately?

- I've worked for Saturn, Saab and Mitsubishi. Saab was the most innovative, Mitsubishi had the best line up of products, and Saturn treated their customers the best. I guess it's not just one thing that makes a company successful?
