Everyone who has read motivational books or studied psychology knows that an attitude of gratitude reduces stress and encourages positive relationships and results. When was the last time you sat down and counted your blessing? If you haven't ever tried, here's a simple outline of what and/or whom you might be thankful for :

1. Your Creator - If you're a person of faith, be sure to give thanks for all the opportunities made possible in your life. Looking at the creation itself and taking time to be thankful for simple things like the trees, the ocean, or even the air we breathe can help you refocus on what's really important.

2. Your Family - Things may not always be great at home, but finding one thing that you are grateful for can actually work to mend some fences. Start with your spouse or significant other. Then move on to your children, your parents, and yes, even the in-laws.

3. Your Employer and Co-Workers - You may not like your job. But there are always things to be thankful for if you look around. You can be thankful for the paycheck, the insurance or other benefits, and of course, the people with whom you share the daily grind.

4. Your community and country - Start with your neighbors and move on out to the governing agencies that help to protect your freedoms. These include police, fire and even politicians. And don't forget being thankful for those who framed the constitution!

5. The troops - Of all those deserving our thanks, the men and women who fight to protect our way of life are most deserving of our thanks. We honor and respect them and we pray for their safety and quick return home.

I would also like to personally thank each of you. Without our readers, we wouldn't have customers. And without customers, we wouldn?t have income, opportunities to grow our business, or a life that allows us to do what we love to do. It's all because of you!
