Planting the Seeds for Success
An 'Oak Tree' is not going to grow if the seeds for its success were never planted in the first

We see people wandering through their careers searching for success, but without a deep-rooted plan to develop success in the first place or even a possible plan to make it happen. We also see companies wondering what … happened. We have customers coming to us wanting help to fix what’s wrong in the dealership. If only they would have planted acorns in the first place, today they would have a grove full of Oak Trees.

Change is all around us and all we need to do is turn on the TV or boot-up the computer and hear, as well as see, the change that has taken place. Here is an idea. What happened to developing skill strengths? In other words, preparing for the future using the talents with which you've been most gifted.  How, you may ask, do we differentiate the talent from the boasting that is typical for an already employed team member or a new employment candidate? Simple! Develop and evaluate that person's skills and the real hidden skills he or she possesses. Would you trust your local hair dresser to perform brain surgery? No, of course not! Then why trust your million dollar business with people of whom you're unsure?

We know for certain that greatness comes from something a person loves to do. If you’re a leader or are thinking you have leadership abilities within the company, then identify your strengths and weaknesses. Take your weak points and build them into strong points. Identifying your strengths is not difficult. There are training measures you can develop to bring out your best qualities. Through the proper use of training dynamics and simple 'One-on-One' coaching, new and pleasing strengths will have the opportunity to emerge. The principle here is simple. If you do what you love, then success will follow. Sometimes we feel we could do better if someone would… 'Just Give Me A Chance.' The success that comes from chance is minimal at best. Find out your strong points and start to train for the future. There are books, tapes, programs, and companies that will take your real talent to the next higher level. Start planting the Acorns of life. It works.
